Graduate Education Supporting Naval Sea Systems Command

The Catholic University of America has partnered with Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Huntington Ingalls Industries - Newport News Shipbuilding to offer sponsored graduate education to employees of NAVSEA and affiliated defense contractors. Students may enroll in individual courses or earn professional certificates and/or graduate degrees with 18 to 24 months in the following areas:

• Power Electronics
• Systems Engineering Management

Courses may be taken face-to-face or online, with face-to-face instruction located in the Huntington Ingalls offices at 300 M Street SE (near the Washington Navy Yard).

Spring 2020 courses

• EE 566 Introduction to Electric Machines and Drives  (Core - 4 credits); Dr. Babak Parkhideh & Mohsen Marefat
  Wednesdays 5:00pm-8:30pm; Jan.15th to about May 6th, 2020.
• EE 669 High Voltage Technology Related to Power Systems (3 credits); Dr. Jim Turso (HII-NNS) Tuesdays 5:00pm-7:30pm; Jan. 14th to about May 5th, 2020.
