Chloe Lockwood is a dual degree Civil Engineering and Architecture student from Charlottesville, VA. Chloe shares why she chose to attend Catholic University and the School of Engineering, and what advice she has for prospective students.
Why did you choose to attend Catholic University and the School of Engineering?
"I chose to attend Catholic U for its location, student-to-teacher ratio, green campus, and the many opportunities for my future career. While touring here, I knew it was going to be my home for the next few years."
Why do you want to be an engineer?
"I have always had an interest in building and designing. As I grew up, I realized I wanted to help create the environment around me. I have always enjoyed the complex challenges of engineering."
What's been your favorite part of being a student at Catholic University?
"My favorite part about being a student at Catholic U is the community of friends, professors, advisors, and staff. Everyone here is so welcoming. The access into the city through our metro stop is also another one of my favorite parts of Catholic U."
What advice would you give to prospective students?
"Being an engineering or dual degree student can be taxing at times. It is important to establish the skill of time management. Make sure you are carving out time for studying, homework, friends, and yourself."
