Aerospace REU at Georgia Southern University

National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU): "Propulsion, Aerodynamics, Materials and Controls of Aerial Vehicles" at Georgia Southern University

This Georgia Southern REU Site was an interdisciplinary research experience for freshman to senior engineering students in the areas of aerospace, propulsion, aerodynamics, materials and controls of aerial vehicles. The program stimulated students’ interest in conducting research, and develop their understanding of interdisciplinary concepts through hands-on learning, STEM problem-solving skills, and enhance their ability to apply theoretical concepts to research problems. The program was designed to promote independence and the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a highly diverse team.

The program ran between May 15 and July 23, 2023. We encouraged students to apply early to ensure they have time to gather the requisite document package needed to complete their applications.  Students received a stipend of $6000 plus support for travel and materials ($300), subsistence ($860), and housing ($500) for the 10 weeks of the program. Click here to learn more.
