Dr. Dominick Rizk, Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, will receive a 2024 Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Award. The award consists of a $5,000 grant from ORAU and an additional matching $5,000 from the School of Engineering. These competitive research awards provide seed money for junior faculty members within two years of their tenure track appointment, and are intended to enrich the research skills and professional development of young faculty members.
The grant funds will support Dr. Rizk’s research in hardware security, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. He is one of only 37 award recipients this year out of 174 applications from 91 ORAU member institutions.
