On Monday, April 29th, 2024, the School of Engineering hosted the 16th Annual Senior Design Day in the Pryzbyla Center Great Rooms. Each senior design group had the opportunity to present their final capstone project to the faculty, staff, family members, and students who attended. In addition, the projects were judged by several School of Engineering faculty members; students competed for the following awards: Best Presentation, Best Poster, and Best Overall Project.
Following the group presentations, students and attendees gathered for the poster session to further discuss the students' projects and their accomplishments over the course of the year. Students shared their experience working on these projects and the challenges they faced during the design process; moreover, discussing how they navigated these setbacks to achieve their ultimate goal for the project. Some groups even had the opportunity to display their physical projects, offering demonstrations on how they operate!
The day came to a close with the award ceremony; Dean John Judge presented the awards to the winning groups and congratulated all of the seniors for their hard work over the course of the year. He also took a moment to acknowledge the contributions made by the faculty, staff, and sponsors, who helped make this day possible.
