Bio

Chaofan Sun joined the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Catholic University of America in 2019 as a visiting assistant professor. Prior to CUA, he worked as a data scientist, working on projects involving retail customer profiling, financial data modeling, aviation industry data analysis, insurance/medical data analysis, and petroleum industry data modeling. He also trained professionals on including data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, big data, and programming languages. He was also involved in NASA’s Lunar Hover Path Finding and Composite Truss Optimum Design projects. His research interest includes data analysis, machine learning, deep learning, and NLP.
