"Acquiring research experience with CUA’s Department of Mechanical Engineering was a rewarding way to spend the summer before my junior year. I continued work in Dr. Abot’s lab, collecting data on the thermoresistive and dynamic responses of carbon nanotube yarns for application in new materials sensors. I also helped Ph.D. students finalize their results and fine-tune publications. In addition, I began working in Dr. Luo’s lab, analyzing the mechanical properties of synthesized biopolymer membranes."
