Morgan Trechter, Catholic University '24, is a Civil Engineering student from Colorado Springs, Colorado. She has accepted a job as a Project Engineer at CBG Building Company.

Briefly describe your new opportunity.

"I will be working in construction management as a project engineer for multi-family residential buildings in the DMV area."

How did your School of Engineering and Catholic University education help you find this career path?

"The School of Engineering and Catholic University helped me to find out about CBG early on in my college career and because of that, I was able to jump start my professional career with a company that I love!" 

What activities were you involved in during undergrad?

"President of the Society of Women Engineers, Campus Student Minister, Member of American Society of Civil Engineers, mentor in the School of Engineering Peer Mentorship Program, Varsity Softball Team for a couple years."

What were some highlights of your time at The Catholic University of America?

"Being so close to the many opportunities within DC has been a big highlight of my time here. The great community of people we have on campus and within the engineering school have helped me build amazing relationships and make some cool connections."

What advice do you have for students during their own job search?

"Build a strong network of people by getting out of your comfort zone and being open to any career path. I never saw myself working in construction, but I fell in love with the work because I took a chance with it. The more people you're able to meet and connect with will help you have more job opportunities throughout your career."
