Ali Farnoud is the Ramboll Environment & Health Data Center Sector Lead for the Americas and the Principal in charge of the Arlington office’s Air Quality team. With a 17-year career as an environmental regulatory consultant, Ali has dedicated the past seven years to working almost exclusively with data centers, establishing deep and trusting relationships within the industry. He has successfully collaborated with large technology companies to address their environmental leads, and is currently the Air Permitting Committee Technical Lead for the Data Center Coalition. He has extensive experience with data centers, power generation, oil and gas facilities, and combined heat and power (CHP) units which has enabled him to help his clients navigate through dynamic regulatory landscapes and technological advancements. He holds a doctoral degree in Environmental Engineering with a research focus on diesel particulate matter control.
